The countdown is finally over! Today was Opening Day for Mammoth Mountain

The lucky bunch of skiers and boarders in Mammoth last night must have prayed hard before bed, because Mother Nature certainly got the message. Light snow fell as the Mountain opened this morning, making the opening day celebration and kick off events absolutely awesome!

Opening this morning with a base depth of 12-16 inches at Main Lodge, and a season total of 22 inches, this ski season is starting off stellar. Cold temperatures are great for snowmaking, along with the beautiful efforts from Mother Nature, we are sure to see great conditions ahead.

This is just Day 1 of the Mountain being open; so imagine the possibilities of what’s to come. Good times with family and friends in a wonderful town, skiing and boarding on some of the best terrain in the country.

Get up to Mammoth and have some fun!
