Shuttle Service to Reds Meadow Valley, Devils Postpile

A new shuttle service in the Reds Meadow Valley will provide new opportunities for visitors and commercial tours this season. Outside of the mandatory Reds Meadow/Devils Postpile shuttle, which will run from June 22-September 4 this season, visitors will have the opportunity to use a shuttle that will run between Devils Postpile National Monument and Reds Meadow Resort on weekends in June and September.

Recreational vehicles longer than 37 feet are advised to use Forest Service campgrounds that will accommodate 37 foot vehicles and utilize the Reds Meadow Shuttle or the intervalley shuttle bus if visiting Devils Postpile. The shuttle bus is free within the valley.

Vehicles longer than 37 feet associated with accredited school groups are always welcome. A special use permit is required.

The roads in the Reds Meadow Valley are narrow and visibility is limited. All vehicles should use caution on both the Reds Meadow and Devils Postpile roads. For more information, contact us at 760-924-5505 or at depo_visitor_information@nps.gov.
