Keep Mammoth Beautiful
Earth Day is this Wednesday 4/22, but why do we only have 1 day out of the year to celebrate and recognize environmental respect, take action and learn how to lessen our impact on the earth. Everyone should try to celebrate and practice Earth Day...everyday!

To keep Mammoth as beautiful as it is, why not pledge to recycle during your next vacation? Some of the condo’s and townhomes may not have separate receptacles in the kitchen for recycling as you may in your home, but that shouldn’t stop you from recycling. You can sort the bottles & cans from the trash and either find a recycle bin outside, or simply place them on the kitchen counter for housekeeping, or take them with you. Put them anywhere but in the trash.

We all know the benefits of recycling bottles & cans, and why not continue our good practices in one of our favorite places to enjoy Mother Nature, Mammoth. #EarthDay2015 #mammoth395 #recycle #keepmammothbeautiful

Friday's Four (things to do in Spring)
After you make your morning Spring skiing turns on the hill, take the afternoon off, and enjoy all that Mammoth has to offer.

Check out the Wildflowers blooming. Mammoth has numerous trails and hikes that offer beautiful viewings of the flowers, such as the Sherwin Meadow trail, starting at the Forest Service stables, and ending at the end of the Snowcreek Golf Course. Beautiful and mellow walk/hike.

Take a Bike Ride. You can either bike around town, over to Shady Rest park for the Knolls Loop, or head down to Benton Crossing Road to take more of a challenging ride, with beautiful views of Mammoth Mountain.

Hike around Convict Lake. One of the best lakes for a Spring hike, it gets plenty of sunshine and is only 2 miles around. Park at the Marina and take the trail to the left. Once you are done enjoy a wonderful meal at the Convict Lake Restaurant.

Mammoth Lakes Basin. Opening 4/25 head up Lake Mary Road for more lakes & activities you can imagine. Fill the cooler with sandwiches and drinks, rent a small boat (for cheaper than you think) and putt around one of the lakes. Or rent a paddleboard at Lake Mary to check out the scenery solo, and get a good work out too!

Experience the great outdoors, if you don’t get to everything, there is always next time, cause I am sure you’ll be back! Mammoth Lakes Tourism photo by Rebecca Garrett

Great news for the Fisherman & fisher-women :)
Listen up Fisherman! Are you ready to celebrate Fishmas? In just 9 days, on April 25th, the 2015 Fishing Opener will take place.

Convict Lake, Sherwin Creek, Mammoth RV Park, Oh Ridge, June Lake, Gull Lake, Silver Lake, Big Springs, and Lower Lee Vining campgrounds will be open by April 24th.

Not the camping type? Then why not cook your fish and cool your brew in a fully stocked condo! Visit our website for great deals, up to 40% off on awesome properties close to the lakes!

Check out this great news: most lakes below 9,000 feet are currently ice-free and the Mammoth Lakes Basin will be open prior to the Fishing Opener with a tentative opening date of this Saturday, April 18th!

That means ski on Saturday, and fish on Sunday. That's why we love Mammoth...so much to do and amazingly beautiful. Get on up and have some fun! Mammoth Lakes Tourism photo by Rebecca Garrett #fishmas #mammothmountain #mammoth395 #springskiing
