If you are lucky enough to be in Mammoth already for Thanksgiving week, you will be stoked tomorrow! Mammoth Mountain will be opening Stump Alley Express, wooo whooo! The Lower Gondola is operating for skiing and riding and the Upper Gondola is operating for Scenic Rides only.
If you are a Mountain newbie or an Old Timer, I highly recommend taking the Scenic Gondola ride to the top! It takes my breath away every time! Not just because I am scared going up to 11,053 feet, but its just so amazingly beautiful. Enjoy the view from the top!
Weather is calling for more cold temps in the night (great for snowmaking) and possible snow next Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday!

( 3 / 2304 )Snow flurries are falling in Mammoth this afternoon (temp right now is only 29!), with more snow expected tomorrow after 10am. Mammoth Mountain crews have been working hard to take advantage of the cold temperatures at night. Awesome news: the mountain will be opening 3 new lifts this Friday! Broadway Express, Thunder Bound Express, Discovery Chair and Face Lift express are expected to be operating this weekend. Plus the weather outlook is good. Every few days we have a chance of snow, so keep praying. A DUMP ALERT will come soon, I know it!

Did you know that Mammoth Mountain just earned the “Best Terrain Park of 2014” award from ‘On The Snow’? Pretty awesome to know that you are riding on world class runs & parks when you visit Mammoth.
The Mountain opened last Thursday, with a sprinkling of snow, which was perfect for the opening celebrations. Today there was a base depth of 14-18”, with 4 trails open and 3 trails groomed. Not bad for mid November!
