The Annual Pond Skim is coming up in just a couple of weeks! Come watch some crazy skiers and snowboarders stream straight across an icy pond! There will be TWO ponds this year to skim over and those willing to take the leap can fly from Pond #1 to Pond #2 with newly installed jump feature.
The first 50 competitors to sign up at 11 AM at Canyon lodge on April 17, 2016, dressed in the ever appropriate costumes, Superhero garb, will get a spot in the 2016 skim. Costumes are a must at registration to secure your spot. Pond skim open to ages 18+ only.

The Mono County fishing opener is just around the corner on April 30. With the lakes thawing and water levels at a higher than usual level, the catch is expected to be ideal.

This weekend, The Village at Mammoth will be hosting tons of festivities that will make for a fun-filled end to the spring break for both kids and adults. On Saturday afternoon, there will be face painting and a parade. If you're coming down with your kids this weekend, this might be the perfect way to keep them entertained!
On Sunday, there will be another parade, face painting, live music, and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Mammoth Rental by Owner is soon to become Nomadness Rentals. As we expand into new locations and get ready to introduce a new website by the end of the month, we can't help but reflect on our roots as a company.
Starting off nearly a decade ago as a small, family-owned business with a few properties in Mammoth, we never thought so many exciting opportunities could be in store. But by April, we're planning on introducing our new mobile-responsive website. The new website will embody a more contemporary and user-friendly interface, which will allow renters to more easily share, search, and book the properties that suit them best. It will also establish a more interactive database for new and existing homeowners that will allow for maximal customization of their management packages and a simpler sign-up process.

Over six of snow have made their way to Mammoth over the last 72 hours, breaking the 300 inch season total mark. Up until today, this season's snowfall has trumped the total snowfall amounts since 2010. Forecasters and snow enthusiasts are calling it "Miracle March" and so far, the storm has brought up to 66 inches of snowfall.
This isn't the end of it, either. Forecasters are expecting another four to five feet of snow over the upper elevations starting Saturday night. The mountains upon mountains of snow make Mammoth the ideal place to be these next couple of weeks, with tons of activities like skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling in their peak season.
