( 3 / 6667 )Starting tomorrow April 1st, submit a story recognizing an LA City Firefighter for your chance to win a 4 day/3 night all-expense paid lodging vacation in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Our new community support program, Hero of the Month will feature the men and woman of the LA City Fire Department for the month of April.
If you know a LA City Firefighter in your community that has great heartwarming, heroic story, submit it to us, we will post it on our Blog, Facebook and Twitter to be shared with all. At the end of the month a story will be selected, and the named hero & the story submitter will be awarded with a 2 beautiful condos for them and their families. Please note: you do not have to be a LA City Firefighter to submit a story.

( 3 / 2629 )We know that Mammoth is awesome for skiing and boarding during the winter, but if you are looking for another reason to visit, then head up in Summer and go Mountain biking on the hill. Whether you are feeling confident and this is “Your Sport” or if you have only riden your bike at the beach, mountain biking in Mammoth can provide fun for everyone!
Take a guided tour with a professional, which is tailored to your personal skill level while showing you some of the secret spots around the mountain. Or be prepared to blow limitations away and progress while being taught skills fundamental to mountain biking in a Private Lesson.
Group Lessons are geared for kids ages 6 and up, developed to teach the fundamentals like body positioning, braking technique, balance and bike control that will allow them to enjoy mountain biking to the fullest.
Now two of the best Bike Parks in the US have teamed up and are offering one pass that will allow you unlimited access to over 90 miles of biking terrain. The price is starting at $325 for winter pass holders, which will allow you to bike at Mammoth Mountain and a So Cal Local Favorite: Snow Summit Bike Park.
Opening June 12th, the Mammoth Bike Park will open for full operation, with top to bottom biking. But for Memorial Day weekend, the lower mountain will be open with shuttle access from The Village to Main Lodge. And Snow Summit opening day is scheduled for May 8! Sweet! ( 3 / 3734 )Two of our favorite Southern California ski resorts (besides Mammoth) are planning to close their lifts early this winter due to dismal snow fall as we move into spring. Big Bear’s Snow Summit will close this Friday March 27th and Bear Mountain’s last day is going to be Easter Sunday, April 5th.
A few points to note:
*Mammoth Mountain is still open and jammmin! After receiving a few solid inches of snow yesterday, that provided a nice coating to keep the mountain covered and runs & lifts open to shred!
*Starting April 1, we are offering a few new discounts on some of our properties just in time for Spring riding. Stay 3 nights, get the 4th FREE sound good??
*Get your Cali4nia pass for next year on sale now for the same low price as last year $689 (Adult), even way cheaper for kids. Don’t worry about the resorts closing early, next year will be epic, and remember you can “cancel for any reason” when you stay with us.
