Story line: Guest with Attitude
Vote: Truth or BS
Guest calls to inquire about a property that is pet friendly. Guest wants to ask about availability and the cost to bring a pet.
Jamie: "Hello. Thank you for calling Mammoth Rental By Owner. How can I help you?"
Guest: "Hi. I am interested in this property and I want to bring my pet but I saw the price for a pet is listed very high. Would the owner be willing to bring the price down? Also, I would like to request a late check-out."
Jamie: " I can definitely reach out to the owner of the property and ask if they would be willing to bring the price down. Once I have spoken with the owner I will contact you with their decision. In regards to the late check-out I cannot guarantee a late check out. However, if you contact us the day before departure we can verify if late check-out is possible."
Guest: "That is not good enough. I will not commit unless I can get a late check-out."
Jamie: " I am sorry sir but I cannot grant that request at this time. Please contact us when you are getting closer to your departure date."
Guest: " Whatever. Just call me about the dog."
Jamie: "Definitely will contact you when we have spoken with the owner. Have a great day."
Guest calls the next day. Jamie is off but Lexi answers call to help guest:
Lexi: "Hello. How can I help you?"
Guest: " I called yesterday and spoke with someone about a property and wanted to see if the owner would come down on the price of bringing a pet."
Lexi: "I would be happy to assist you. Do you happen to recall whom you spoke with? Can I get your name and the property you were inquiring about?"
Guest: "I don't remember who I spoke to. I should have heard back already. Why do you need my name? I am not giving you the property name again, I already did that yesterday!"
Lexi: " Sir, I would like to assist you but I will need some information. Can I please get your name and the reason for this phone call today?"
Guest: "No! I have already given my information and I don't need to give it again! All I want to know is if you have heard back from the owner!" (guest continues to go on in this manner for the next 10 minutes)
Lexi: "Sir. I am sorry but I cannot further assist you unless I can get some information. I would be happy to help but I need to know what this is in regards to."
Guest: "I have already given my information yesterday! I will not do it again! All I want is an answer to my question! God! What is wrong with you people?! Why can't you just give me an answer?! Guest hangs up
Did this guest really want information or was he just having a bad day and a bad attitude? Was this phone conversation a "Truth or BS?"

( 3 / 3574 )Well the majority(95%)of you actually said this was a true story and you are right. It's happened to just about all of us where we have been having a lot of fun and just lose track of the time. I guess in this case it worked out OK as the group got to enjoy one more day of fun.

( 3 / 5081 )Two big storms are headed to Mammoth this weekend and next week. Winter might have been mild but Spring is really packing a punch! The snow conditions are perfect and the boarding and skiing couldn't be any better. I'm so excited I just want to get out there and play and get the heck out of here on off the computer.
