( 3 / 14876 )Happy New Year to everyone! Well 2014 is of to a better start regarding snow forecasting. Just a few days ago it did not look like we were going to get any snow till late January BUT now the snow Gods have decided to grace us with snow on the following days, January 9, 12, 15 and 17 and more toward the end of the month. The days have been nice in Mammoth in the high 40's but the nights are cooling down, with wind and clouds. So everyone keep dancing your snow dance and the Snow God will grace us with more snow. Keep on dancing the snow dance!

Mammoth Mountain in making the Holiday season the ultimate place to be.
The runs are well maintained and even in this brief period minimal snow the snow is dry and light and a delight. There is so much to do from skiing, shredding, sledding, ice skating, entertainment, fun and fireworks.
The Winter is here in Mammoth and the Mountain is providing all the fun and activities that only can be found here at altitude 9,000!
Th forecast are predicting a big snow dump mid to end of January but the skies are dark tonight the winds are picking up and the temperature is dropping. Maybe a sneak storm is around the corner. Let you know tomorrow.

Nice sunny days till January 6th and 7th is when snow is expected.
More snow expected on January 13th, 17th and 18th.
Then watch out, the big dump is expected January 26th - February 3
