Snow Immersion happens then a boarder or skier falls head first into a tree well or deep loose snow.In this inverted position you can become trapped under the snow and it become extremely difficult to get out without the help of others. Breathing becomes difficult due to the loose snow around you and unless you get help immediately you could suffocate.
