( 3 / 6035 )The water level is now up to 210cfs for the Middle Owens River and the fishing has been decent. The Upper Owens flow has gone back down to 43cfs, but there's a good number of large migratory cutthroat now spawning.
For bait fishing in the Mammoth Lakes Basin, try using inflated crawlers, power eggs or gulp bait. For lures, thomas cyclones, bouyants, trout teasers or zip rippers. If you're trolling then leadcore, ford fenders and dicknites are good choices.
Yesterday (5/4), Tioga Pass (SR 120) opened its gate to Yosemite National Park for the summer and we have a projected opening date of May 16th for the Reds Meadow and Devils Postpile area.
The weather will be a bit cooler this weekend but the fishing will be hot!
